Food Processor with attitude!
I bought this a couple of weeks ago – it’s been in daily use since, a great, compact food processor which does not use up a large footprint on my limited worktop space. I just wish I could find a mini grinder/mill attachment as I’d really like to be able to prepare fresh herbs etc for freezing as well as grinding coffee beans for my daily ‘fix’! Pastry, batter, scones, biscuits, cakes, marinades, minced/ground meat – the list goes on – I have to admit that it’s made me more interested in preparing good, fresh, tasty food. The metal blade does a good job on chopping up herbs in quantity, I’ve not tried it on coffee beans as I’m a bit worried that I might blow the motor; maybe someone can settle my mind on that one. Overall, I’d rate this machine 100% on current usage and 95% on unknown quantity as I’m sure that with time, I’ll get to know its limitations…. I bought this from Amazon Direct and it was delivered within 24 hours – just ace…..
The missing link.
There is little one can say about food processors nowadays. They have been around such a long time that the functionality is well worked out and pretty standard across the board.
The motor is fairly quiet – not silent but quieter than my last one although it does give off that new motor smell that hopefully will disappear with time. The last thing you need when cooking is the smell of burning lubricant – it totally ruins the mood.

However one which I would like to point out which I think is just brilliant is the knife unit at the bottom of the blender twists off. This is brilliant for cleaning and the one thing that drove me crazy about my last one. Excellent!
Great ……… now what do I do with all this time on my hands
So far it’s saved me several hours in the kitchen (chops onion, celery and peppers well), makes great crumble mix and cakes and saved a batch of soup that went wrong (still don’t know why it went wrong have been making it to the same receipt for years) thanks to the blender. Oh and loads of other things I’ve used it for ……… but still playing so lots to try still. One thing I did love it that its so easy to clean. Last processer seemed to have lots of ‘nooks and crannies’ that you could never get the soap bubbles or water out of – this one is easy to wash and dry
does the job but………….
Having bought a Chef Major for the big cooking jobs, I needed something smaller for everyday use. I’d previously had a food processor like this one, but years ago. The important things for me were size and weight – great, it fits into my cupboard easily and is very light to take out and put away. Then it had to be easy clean and yet again full marks (just) the machine is much easier than the old one to wipe down as there are less ledges etc. to attract cling-ons and the bowl and liquidiser go in the dishwasher. Note here that the bottom of the bowl does not drain Mr Ken Wood!
In use – it is easy to load, easy to assemble, easy to operate and mixes well. The slicing blade is a bit flimsier that the old ones and yes, previously there were two sizes, this time there was only one. It tried to bend when treated to grating hard parmesan cheese. Luckily for me I still have the old blades (a bit of a hoarder I suppose) which I will use in preference.
The last star was dropped of my rating because of the noise – for some reason all domestic machines seem to be noisy, but this one takes the cake!

Wonder how I managed without it!
This is an excellent machine for the price. Have used it to make several batches of soup and also for pastry. It slices and grates in seconds and is easy to clean. would recommend.
Very useful
This is the first food processor I have had as I have always relied on my Kenwood Chef for everything but thought this would be useful for "slicing and dicing" when making soups, etc. And, yes, it is really, really useful. I dont know how I did without it before. Well worth the money.
Amazing machine
I have not bought a food processor for a long time, so spent a while reading the reviews before deciding on this one, and I am not disappointed. It is very light to move around, and very efficient. It has adjustable speed control, which at this price is a bonus.
Xmas present
Excellent processor service was good – it arrived quickly. Suckers on base are very good sometimes difficult to move when you want to. NB very sharp – mind your fingers.
Good Value Food Processor!
This is a very good looking food processor. It is efficient with several useful attachments and also is easy to clean. Excellent present for first timers in the culinary adventure. Recommended in terms of purpose, looks and price. well done Electrolux!
