People who want to apply for planning permission in Denia on the Spanish Costa Blanca , will now be able to do so and will stand a chance of it being passed .
The Valencia regional government placed a ban on all works pending the new town plan layout being agreed . Until now , even the residents , who might want to build a patio were not able to obtain a license to do so .
The ridiculous thing was that homeowners who needed really essential repairs could not get permission either.
Now the Denia mayor has announced that minor works can be done , before the new town plan has been agreed .Of course the home must be on land that has already been classified for building ,whatever that might be .
No green -belt land , rural or farm land will come into this .They are not even allowed to build the smallest of sheds . This now means that construction companies can get on with all of the minor jobs that need doing and this will provide employment .
The PGOU for the town is under discussion .All sorts of ideas have been mooted and now the public is having its say if it chooses as the plans are available to view in the council offices .
